California based start-up Artie secures USD 10 Million

Los Angeles based start-up Artie has raised USD 10 million funds on 18th of February, 2021 in the seed round led by MaC Ventures Capital for application of fewer mobile games.

Investors: The capitalization of USD 10 million was acquired in the seed round fund led by MaC Venture Capital along with the involvement of previous investors like The Venture Reality, Winklevoss Capital and Sixers innovation lab.

What the funding is for: The freshly acquired funding would be utilized for the development of their applications and software. According to sources the company is also aiming to expand their reach all over the world.

Founders of the company: Armando Kirwin and Ryan Horrigon

About the company: Artie is a privately held organization which operates under the entertainment industry. Its headquarters is established in Los Angeles, California and has a work strength of around 11-50 employees. They also deal with various specialties like entertainment management, human resources and gaming expertise. Artie is basically a platform for next generation mobile games which can be shared and played instantly on popular social media applications.

What the CEO has to say: “Artie isn’t the only start-up focused on the idea of app-less mobile gaming, while other companies are limited by JavaScript and HTML5, Artie supports unity, meaning it can build casual games and eventually games that might go even deeper.” — Armando Kirwin, Co-founder of Artie.

Similar to cloud games, we are running unity games on our cloud but rather than rendering graphics on the cloud and pushing the video to players, we are not running graphics on the cloud. We are streaming assets and animations that are highly optimized and rendered in real time through the embedded web browser.” — Ryan Horrigon, Co-founder of Artie.

What the investors have to say: “We want to be working with the next generation of influencers to make games using these low codes or no code solutions, then publish to their audiences directly on YouTube. Imagine what a branded game would like from your favorite hip hop star. We think that’s coming and we think Artie is the platform to make that happen.” — General Manager at Mac Ventures Capital.

“The start-up is developing and releasing games of its own with an Alice in a Wonderland game, a beer pong game and more on the schedule for later this year, then a massively multiplayer online game planned for 2022. But they also plan to release an SDK allowing other developers to distribute through its platform as well.” — CEO of Sixers innovation lab.
