A San Mateo, California headquartered platform Scratchpad, particularly built for sales for updating Salesforce and taking sales notes and daily tools, announced securing US$ 13 million Series A funding on 3rd February 2021.

The funding round was led by Craft Ventures and included participation from the venture capital Accel. Scratchpad intends to use the proceeds of new capital for supporting the rapid growth of the company as it is entering the new phase of maturity. The round is followed by a US$ 3.6 million seed funding round led by Accel recently.

With the funding round, Scratchpad also announced David Sacks, the founder and Chief Operating Officer of PayPal, the founder and CEO of Yammer and the founder and general partner at Craft Ventures will join the Board of Directors of the startup.

Pouyan Salehi, the co-founder and CEO of Scratchpad said “Sales organizations depend on a large amount of qualitative and quantitative data to complete a sale. Unfortunately, most of that data is spread across random applications, and rarely finds its way into Salesforce (CRM). Consequently, hodgepodges of tools are hacked together for taking notes, managing pipelines, and forecasting. These inefficiencies exist in nearly every revenue team and cause friction between quota attainment and tedious data entry. This investment is recognition of our category creation, leadership, and unique capabilities to help companies improve their sales performance. It will help accelerate our ability to serve the world’s leading sales organizations.”

Since its inception, they have served thousands of active users weekly who have contributed to 2 million Salesforce updates in the previous one year. The leading companies that rely on scratch for improving their workflows and sales outcomes are Autodesk, Lacework, Snowflake, Udemy and Segment.

About Scratchpad

Founded in 2019 by the social entrepreneurs Cyrus Karbassiyoon and Pouyan Salehi, when they observed the challenges Salesforce people experienced in their everyday workflows. The company eases the workforce of sales representatives. The customers can use the platform as a web application or install the same as chrome plug-in that takes less than 30 seconds. It would instantly be connected with Salesforce to provide sales representatives a rapid and model interface for interacting with their sales workflows and the data. The database still remains as Salesforce but the work space provided by scratchpad combines the task search collaboration process and sales no workflows together in an intuitive interface that revenue teams can easily use.
