About Brightwheel

brightwheel

Founded in 2014 by Dave Vasen, Brightwheel provides a software platform for preschools, childcare providers, camps and afterschool programs. It helps teachers manage their day and communicate with parents, giving them deeper insight into what their kids are learning. This helps to automate the process of managing operations for administrators. Brightwheel claims that its platform saves the teachers and administrators an hour per day and improves parent satisfaction so they can watch their child’s learning closely.

Brightwheel is the first platform to build a modern all-in-one SaaS platform that serves the needs of early childcare and education. The providers are able to run every aspect of their operations more efficiently, giving teachers more time with students. Parents also get a chance to better engage with their child’s early development.

Brightwheel is also helping these small businesses that are suffering due to COVID-19 by providing them specific innovations such as at-home learning, safety and health checks and digital communications.

What the CEO has to say: “Early education is one of the greatest determinants of childhood outcomes, a must for working families, and an engine for the economy. We are honoured to support early education providers and proud to see the impact that Brightwheel has with so many teachers, families, and small business owners across the country,” said Dave Vasen, Founder & CEO of Brightwheel.

What Investors have to say: “Brightwheel has established itself as the preferred operating system of the early education industry by supporting both providers and families, especially in recent months when they’ve needed it the most. We are excited to partner with this fantastic team and look forward to supporting the company’s continued growth,” said Lee Fixel, Founder of Addition.
