A Germany based technology platform, Threedy that eases the industry 3D data, announced securing €1.8 million seed funding on 28th December 2020. Recent investment round was led by Btov Partner’s Industrial Technologies Fund and included participation from Fraunhofer and High-Tech Gründerfonds.
Threedy intends to use the funding for commercializing their platform. The team is also planning to invest this venture funding for implementing the medium term marketing plans of the platform and expanding their product offerings. The use cases range from simple three-dimensional applications for or several dynamic processes to highly complex export tools for the minimum viable product for producing a scalable and flexible solution.
They have developed a web-scale visual computing platform that translates the 3D web, business data and processes it into interactive and responsive 3D applications. The platform has several amazing features like three-dimensional streaming structure, built spaces for sharing three-dimensional context, unified three-dimensional space, data links and various APIs that enable clients in simplifying processes and thereby saving cost.
Robert Gallenberger, a Btov Industrial technologies partner said, “We are happy to be able to back Threedy on their way for commercializing from the starting. Christian along with his team have done a great job in the spin off process and successfully developed a new sales potential in the previous. Threedy provides a bass technology for business models and use cases that need rendering and visualisation of large three-dimensional models on devices which were originally not built for sophisticated applications of designing.”
