Bengaluru-headquartered e-sports and gaming startup EWar Games has raised an undisclosed amount in a pre-Series A funding round led by India’s largest and most active angel network – Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). Other participants in the funding round include JITO Angel Network, Hyderabad Angels, and Pearl Agarwal, Founder and Director, Eximius Ventures.
As per a statement issued by the startup, proceeds from the funding round will be utilized to further fortify its place in the Indian e-sports industry by introducing numerous innovative technologies and products which will give a huge lift to the gaming ecosystem.

EWar Games, founded by Parth Chadha and Rahul Singh, is India’s leading e-sports gaming platform offering a wide variety of games to be played by users with the option of earning money daily. The startup is presently managed by a team of 10 gaming and tech fanatics. The startup has a board of advisors and investors from the sports, gaming and startup industries and aims to become one of the largest e-sports platforms in Southeast Asia. Besides marketing and developing the franchise and the platform, EWar is also amplifying its existing e-sports products to make it more competitive and to increase external viewership.

CEO Parth Chadha remarked about the development and said, in a year stormed with the pandemic, they are fortunate enough to have received two rounds of funding at a time when most VCs are going slow on signing cheques. At EWar, the team is on a mission to take esports in India to much bigger and better levels, and help the industry become equivalent to the outstanding position it holds globally. He also added that EWar Games is leveraging a mixture of vernacularity, game streaming, casual gaming, hardcore gaming, game tournaments’ hosting as well as its internal in-house game development skill, which are some of the major factors that have led multiple investors to put solid faith in them.

The startup had previously raised an angel round of US$ 200K from House of Jindals and Jeet Banerjee (Founder, Gameplan) in April 2020.
