The Riga based social application, F3 has landed US$ 3.9 million seed funding on 24th November 2020. The round was led by Adfirst.vc and Mamba dating network (with the investor Mail.ru Group). The angel investor Marat Kichikov, (Bitfury Capital, Managing Partner) also participated in the round.
The app was launched in 2018, and since then it has gained more than 25 million users and tens of thousands new users join their community every day. The F3 team previously also founded ask.fm which was a question and answer based social network which has more than 150 million users. With this new app for generation Z, the impact satisfies the young generation needs. Their 85% audience is below the age of 25.
F3 provides users with personal and candid content and they can post their responses for only what other people have asked for and reply for the photos, videos, messages for the text question they receive. It enables entertaining and visually appealing communication and anonymously and creates in-depth, personal and honest contact. The team of F3 ensures user safety with the implementation of their policies and tools. These include explicit video/photo detection, text filters anonymity settings, automatic content moderation, reporting/ blocking features and more.
The Latvian enterprise depicts their platform as a way to which people can find new friends using real and raw chatting methods. The founder and CEO of F3, Ilja Terebins said, “We witness that our users create unique circles of friends whom they met only on the platform f3 which ensures our conviction that this “Generation Z” requires some different type of social network. A social network where they can make new friends and socialize just the way they do in real life where they can create new communities and communicate with each other in the same place where the consumer or post content.”
