San Francisco based cybersecurity company Stairwell has secured US$ 4.5 million seed funding on 28th October 2020.

The seed funding round was led by venture capital Accel with participation from Gradient Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Allen & Company LLC and a few other Angel investors.

Staircase is a cyber security company set on a mission to empower organizations to defeat cyber security threats. It provides user-centered tools which can help them understand the relationship between internal and external data sources. Using this intelligence, the organizations can be prepared to fight with dangerous and even sophisticated cyber attacks.

Their team of multidisciplinary cyber security experts, software engineers, physicists, applied mathematics solutions and product designers develops security tools which are able to defeat any possible cyber threat.

The growing cybersecurity needs

Steve Loughlin, a Partner at the investment lead Accel said, “Every year the number of cyber attacks keep on increasing their numbers, and still the most of chief information security officers depend on the same set of measures that they consider the best practices. We are very impressed by the vision that Stairwell shares with the world and the potential it has to remodel the current needs of cyber security.”

Stairwell is planning to use this fresh funding to scale their present operations and the development of tools they offer for combating cyber threats. They believe that they should work together to build the future where any team is empowered enough to defend and defeat itself against every cyber attack. They provide multiple security perspectives to the organizations to be a step forward from the attackers.

The CEO and founder of Stairwell, Mike Wiacek said, “The present security teams are holding the tools that cannot correctly identify the internal and external data sources and provide only the baseline production for generic threats. Stairwell is built with vision so that securities can have an understanding of what is good and what is bad and if something is then why it is so that they can actively defeat even the sophisticated cybersecurity threats.”

The San Francisco Bay Area based Stairwell is a cybersecurity niche enterprise which empowers organizations to defend cyber attackers. It was founded in 2019 by Mike Wiacek and is headquartered in Palo Alto, California. Mike is the founder of Threat Analysis Group of Google and Chief Security Officer and CEO of the Alphabet moonshot Chronicle.
