Singapore-based logistics startup, Tramés has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding in a round held in October 2020, led by Kamet Capital Partners.

Proceeds from the funding round will be used to develop its blockchain technology, which the startup believes is its main strategic advantage. The remaining funds will be utilized in employing new people and further evolving its product to serve SMEs.

Tramés was founded in 2019 by chief supply chain officer Ivan Seow and chief technology officer Alok Rajiv and aims to create a simple and integrated workflow for transporters and their logistics partners. It leverages technology to provide a digital platform for investors and partners to work together, thus reducing manual paperwork and physical procedures in the supply chain. The features comprise a blockchain-based document storehouse to enable collaborative drafting and approval of shipping documentation. Hence, its platform successfully reduces the number of manual touchpoints in the supply chain. Although Tramés is focused on the Asian market, it is also targeting users across the world since it works with large multinational companies. It is also looking to partner with a Japanese corporation in Q4 2020.

Prior to its latest round of funding, the startup had raised an angel round in 2019. It also intends to raise its Series A round next year (2021) to fast-track its expansion plans into strategic markets across the globe.

This year, Tramés aims to deal with all of its multinational patrons’ operations in East Asia and Japan and also forge partnerships with two or more multinational clients. It will also be launching a new product that will enable small and medium-sized enterprises to improve their operations in Q1 and Q2 next year (2021).

Tramés currently serves 8 enterprises, including a Fortune 500 multinational corporation in the energy management and automation industry.
