Singapore's Moovaz acquires GetVan

Singapore-based relocation services company Moovaz has acquired local on-demand van rental services startup GetVan in September 2020. Although, the details of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

Moovaz stated that the procurement will enable it to strengthen its end-to-end relocation service with GetVan’s industrial offering as well as robust driver-partner network.

Following the agreement, GetVan Founder and CEO James Neo has been appointed as the Head of Supply Chain Operations at Moovaz. This announcement comes about four months after Moovaz bought expat-focused publication ‘The Finder’ from Singapore Press Holdings. The Finder provided more than 300K expatriates and other users with sensible tips, ideas, and inspiration on what to do and buy and where to go in Singapore and the surrounding area.
