Let’s look at 5 ways that will help us pursue our dreams on top of a full-time job –
1. Outsourcing
Having a full-time job and take the full load of your side gig as well can be overwhelming. You might be able to go on for a month, but then you will feel like giving up. If you have enough money left after paying all necessary bills, then it is better to go for outsourcing or just asking for help from someone trustworthy. Therefore, Hiring freelancers offering specialized services could be your best bet. Outsourcing your tasks to an expert will save a lot time your time and effort. So, if you’re working under a lot of pressure, it is okay to ask for help.
2. Use your time efficiently
Time management can be a nightmare. But if you’re really passionate about your ideas and goals, you’ll find time for it no matter what. Its all about prioritizing your tasks throughout the day and you’ll find sufficient amount of time for your tasks.
- After you wake up, make a list of all the tasks you have to complete in the day.
- Pre-prep your dinner. This way you don’t have to spend time everyday thinking what I should eat.
- Use your commuting time. Not every task needs to be done at the desk.
These suggestions might seem trivial, but trust me they are not. Even a 15 minutes of extra time can do wonders and make a huge difference in the success of your business.
3. Use social media tools for ideas
There are a number of social media tools that will help you to manage your side hustle while you’re at your day job. For example, tools like Co-Schedule. Trello, Quuu etc will help you stay updated about what others are doing and you can post updates yourself. It allows you to automate posts during the work day, so that you can focus on your full-time job but still appear to be active on other channel.
4. Learn to say ‘No’
Make the word ‘No’ your best friend. No matter what distractions come your way, if it is taking away your time allocated to your tasks avoid it at all costs. It is absolutely fine to decline invitations politely. Most importantly, if you do accept them, knowing that it won’t serve you right, you’ll only hurt yourself.
5. Networking Groups
Networking groups are very essential and can turn into your key to success. Meet other players in the business who are like you, juggling their side hustles while doing a job.
