The startup launched itself for a limited audience in 2019 and raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding.

Chairman Drew Green was quoted to say, “We are extremely grateful for and humbled by the support from our investors and the Canadian capital markets in these unprecedented and historic times.” The startup believes that they can disrupt the oral care market through its 3 significant features: cleaning of its toothbrush, innovative design, and a brush head subscription model. Its focus in on the fitness and health-conscious Gen Z and millennial population.

Apart from its usual business, Brüush has collaborated with A Reason to Smile (ARTS), a non-profit organization working towards improving oral health in developing countries. For every brush head refill they ship, a toothbrush, toothpaste and fluoride treatment are donated to a person in need. ARTS is dedicated to empowering communities who do not have access to dental professionals in order to attain and preserve a higher level of oral health. They do this by providing hygiene education, direct treatment, and dental supplies to disadvantaged communities.
