Stockholm located startup Teemyco, which provides virtual office has announced on 4th September, 2020, that it has secured around €845K in a seed funding round. The startup witnessed a massive rise in global demand due to Covid-19 as it forced companies to get solutions to support work from home.

The participants of the round include Luminar Ventures, Antler which is an early stage venture capital firm, recruitment firm Gazella and few other significant angel investors. Teemyco claims to utilize the new funding to recruit talent and launch new services.

Presently in the midst of a beta trial with a select group of renowned companies which includes Wetaca, Kognity, eheathapp, AppJobs and the University of Tokyo, the list of pending users or waiting list to try the technology has increased to over 5000 from 38 countries.

Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Teemyco, Charlotte Ekelund, explained, “When we founded the company 12 months ago, none of us could have predicted the explosive growth in remote working that the pandemic has initiated. Strategically we’re trying to redefine and broaden the virtual office space by enabling users to break free from being isolated in their digital office and instead encourage them to have spontaneous interactions with their colleagues.”

Founded in the year 2019, by Oleg Danylenko, who’s a machine learning expert and a software engineer and former strategist at Fortune500, Teemyco gets the benefit with the current situation caused by the pandemic. On the other hand many start-ups had to put brakes on their expansion plans.

The team of Teemyco claims that they have operated entirely remotely since February this year. The first team members joined the founders in March and now their international team includes 9 people.
