US-Boston based, Breezeway, a property operations and services platform has raised USD 8M funding in series A on 5th August, 2020. The funds will be utilized to support property managers cross those jobs off their list.

The participants in the round include Boston based Schooner Capital, a private investment firm. Existing investors- Launch Capital, Tamarisc Ventures and Krillion Ventures also participated in the round. The start-up previously secured USD 5M across three separate rounds since its incorporation in 2015. 

The company plans to deploy the investment for further growth in the market, develop its intelligence operations software, expand its platform and allow property manager to continue delivering a high standard of service without worrying about doing every task themselves. This includes developing a messaging service to connect  guests, landlords and tenants if and when updates need to be communicated.

Talking about the investment, Jeremy Gall, Founder & CEO of Breezeway, commented, “Safety is the biggest trend in travel right now, as Covid-19 means you have to be more detail-oriented about protocol. We are providing property managers with tools to drive efficiency, get the right person to do the right job at the right time and validating, for us, that clients can get more done with less people.”

About the founder

Jeremy Gall has previously established a booking platform, FlipKey. The company later got acquired by Trip Advisor in the year 2008. He reportedly said that the pandemic outbreak had reaffirmed his desire to support property managers by delivering high level of services and work with them to serve a safe & clean environment for travelers to stay.

He further commented, “While working with thousands of property managers at FlipKey, we learned that service and the experience at the property were the two primary differentiators between operators. We built Breezeway because we saw the need for a much higher level of service in property management than was previously available”.
